7/26 autocross 8:30am 328d/428i

I also attended the UDE last week, it was great. autocross with the 428i gc and 328d. Also did some nice street drives: 228xi cabrio, 550gt, 640i cabrio, 228i msport, i3. a lot of fun. also got a $1,000 coupon good for 6 months.

I'll have to do some street drives too. Glad to hear the $1k coupon is real. I'm expecting delivery first week in August. How long did it take you to get it?

street drives are fun because you can drive as many bmws as you like, they have 15 cars. and no dealer following you along. got the coupon 24 hours later via email

i signed up for the auto x and the m control class. but i'm a noob....should i be concerned about doing the auto x first?

I wouldn't be worried about the autocross unless you almost never drive or don't have a license. While I was at the event there were all kinds of people doing the autocross and their skills (or lack of) worried me since I was in the car with them.

The autocross was a bit of a joke, but still kind of fun. They basically throw you in a car and tell you to drive as fast as you can with all the nannies on. So those of us who might know a thing or two about driving can actually do fairly well and everyone else just hammers and slides around. It's pretty silly.

I'm sure the car control clinic day with the M cars will be vastly different and still geared to the noob.

Just recently found out from my CA that the $1000 coupon is not good for cars already ordered prior to the event. Lame!
