2015 228i M-sport with 34k miles for $22k?

Hey guys,

Is this a good deal?
https://www.carmax.com/car/15089109

Also, are there any known issues with the 228i that can cause high costs? Any recommended preventative maintenance I should do right after buying the ride?

Pricing seems fair if car is clean. Make sure to do a PPI. As for reliability, it depends on the build date. While the 2er overall has been pretty reliable, at least by BMW standards, the n20/n26 engine in cars built prior to 2015 has a timing chain issue that causes engines to self-destruct. Google for "n26 timing chain issue". You will come up with many posts such as this one:

Carmax has a good warranty from what I hear. I'd look into that. A warranty is a must for most guys on any BMW.
