Sounds good! I'm doing a Euro Delivery as well. Planing on going to the Monaco F1 Grand Prix that weekend. You should come!

That would be sick to do both cars like that haha

Guys can someone explain what Euro Delivery is.

Or is the clue pretty much in the title? Whats the process?

I'm from the UK so could be a great way to break the car in.

Here's an explanation via BMW NA site: http://www.bmwusa.com/standard/conte...y/default.aspx

You would need to call your dealership and ask them about it as I'm sure there are some differences by country.

You pick up the car at the Welt in Munich. Get a whole days worth of fun, plus a factory tour. And here in the states from what I understand the vehicle itself is 8% cheaper if you do the Euro Delivery. Not sure how UK works.

Yep. At that point dealer is the source you have to use, but from people that have done it say the dealer hates it and becomes super funny about it because they make no money on the purchase.

I'd love to, but my lease isn't up until June 2015, so until then I can't get anything lol

Not true about dealer not making money....car doesnt come out of their inventory and all they have to do is paperwork and re-delivery. You still have to negotiate price (ED price)

Ew ok, yeah I just remember reading about a dealer being shady about it in a past post.

I mean makes sense, everyone gets a cut. Gotta make the $.

I asked our BMW rep, he said Feb for delivery. The build dates might be similar to the new X5. They have been building them for months, but nobody has them yet. Right now dealerships should have their M235 Healios cars ready.

Euro delivery isn't available to UK customers.

So for reference you can still negotiate the ED price? Even though its 8% cheaper?

So lets say a car is $50k, European delivery price. How much more can you wiggle down?

yup, google online and find the "invoice" price for ED cars and their options...just like you would do on buying any car. Remember, its ED Invoice pricing. So lets say that the car you want optioned out comes to total $40k ED invoice...then there is some fees (forgot what it was, but it was like few hundred dollars), lets say that fee is $300. You now negotiate $40,300 + whatever amount you're willing to pay and whatever they will accept. This can be as low as $500 to $1200 and this is what the dealer makes.

I think the fee you are referring to is the Training Fee (currently $180) which is required whether the car is ED or not. Similarly, you are still charged destination and handling. However, MACO is not charged for ED cars. If you lease, there is also a .0003 MF increase, but your second lease payment (usually while the car is on the boat) is waived by BMWFS, so it basically is a wash.

As you noted, the goal is to start negotiating from ED invoice (not ED MSRP) and up--typically $500-$1000. However, depending on the car (M, just released cars such as the 4er) the allocation can come from the dealer's stock so your negotiating power and potential savings is reduced considerably. I imagine the M2 will be just as difficult to obtain via ED at first, as will the M235i. The ED sub forum over on Bimmerfest is extremely active, has a wealth of info, and a great bunch of guys. I did ED back in 2008 for my E92 and it was awesome.

Back to the topic of this Thread....where is this M235i already???

If we look at Scott signature it say something about electrifying performance on August 22nd. The i3 was on July 29th the i8 might be on August 22nd following that logic September 16th for the 2 series maybe?? I hope so I'm tired of thoses over priced enviro-freak cars.

I'm thinking a little longer as the M4 concept is being debuted this weekend at Pebble Beach (and possibly tonight online). I'm sure corporate doesn't want another product stealing the thunder of a "new" series.

Now that I have seen the M4 concept coupe, I cannot wait for the M235i or, perhaps even better, a M2.
