The 3'er has gotten too big and the current 5'er does not thing for me...Not willing to stretch budget for 6'er.

It's going to be 2, 4 series or X4 for me...

If none of those work, it's adios bmw and hello Porsche or RR

Look closely at the 3rd to last photo, looks to me like the tail light really will be narrow which is a shame. This is the only detail I don't like about the design, everything else looks truly great and this is my current favorite for my next car.

I'm holding out hope that this is the truth. If the future is FI, lets at least make them light.

What's the projected curb weight?

Hmm, the tail lights look wedge shaped to me under the camo. If that is really how they look my response would be: who the hell approved this?????

Let me start by giving props to the artist. This is impressive.

That said, the model needs a lot of work in terms of predicting the car's looks IMHO.

The spy shots were very promising but the render is too flat (as Jason already noted) and nowhere near as aggressive. This almost looks like they filled in the covered section with watered down 1M elements.

The rear lights look bad. Too short and disproportionate.

Agree with that. Looks like BMW may be doing the 1999 Oldsmobile thingy when they brought out the compact Olds Alero as a smaller version of the full sized Aurora - and some had the brilliant design idea that oversized out-of-proportion tail lights would look cool.

The rear lights of the 2er Coupe/Cabrio/Gran Coupe are not fully replicated here due to the work of the film crew placing black plastic over the rear to minimise shadows with units lighting rigs and sunlight.

The overall look ties in with its brothers the 4er and 6er and typically BMW.

Being in Japan, I'm going to annotate that it looks like a Chibi-E46.

it seems to have a similar problem to the X1 in that the wheels are too small for the car. Make em an inch or two bigger and it should look a lot more settled
