Translating German to English is sometimes not so easy, it may have simply been an over site.

Folding mirrors always come with the premium package.

Reading through the websites it says automatic power seats and exterior mirrors (if equipped). Unless I'm reading it wrong it doesn't look to be standard

A question on the "coding" for certain things like folding mirrors...can the dealer do this coding? I just took delivery of my car and they were completely clueless when I asked for this to be coded in.

I read some of your coding posts before. Good info, but I don't quite understand it all yet. Is it that they can't or won't?

They probably don't have the tools to do individual coding and/or they will get no benefit from doing it.... Their business is to sell cars

Some are also probably against some DOT rule like closing windows from the FOB so it might even be technically illegal for them to do it....

Bummer. Oh well. I'll have to read the coding section in detail to see what I can get accomplished.

Thanks!

My 228 has folding mirrors, but it also has Premium package. Maybe that's it? I'm not sure this can be coded unless you already have the button for it and it just doesn't do anything.

In my case the car has Premium package and mirrors that fold by hitting a button, but not automatically when you shut off the car. The "automatic folding" is what I'm trying to accomplish.

I think if you have Premium and folding mirrors it may be something that can be coded.

yes if you have Prm pck you can code

Close window/roof with FOB FEM_BODY 3053 KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG_FB
Close window/roof with comfort access FEM_BODY 3053 KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG_PA
Close mirror with FOB FEM_BODY 3110 ASP_BEIKLAPPEN_BEI_KOMFORTSCHLIESSEN
Open mirror with FOB FEM_BODY 3110 ASP_AUSKLAPPEN_NACH_KOMFORTSCHLIESSEN

so you can close windows, roof, mirrors from the FOB by keep pressing the bmw logo button

I'll take a video

I'm more concerned if I should use BMW branded oil or Castrol Edge from Wal-Mart.
BMW oil is made by Castrol. Castrol Edge should be fine.
And tests show Castrol Edge is better than the oil they make for BMW.

Prm? Pck?

And does it work when you lock the car with the handle via keyless entry as well?

Yes you can do the same with comfort access handle its just kind of weird cause you need to keep your finger on the handle for like 15 secs but works too

Is it possible to code the mirrors to fold upon turning off the car if you don't have premium package?

Personally, I don't know why everyone is so interested in the folding mirrors. I have them on my MINI roadster, and they are more of a nuisance than a help for me. Usually, when adjusting my mirrors, they close up, then I have to figure out how to get them to become functional again. But that's just me.

As for the speedometer error, that was/is right, it is about the European law. They don't seem to like having people speed, then give the excuse that it's because of the speedometer error that it only read 120 kms when he was going 130 kms. That is what I was told with my first MINI. Also, that's why I run a tire size taller than what MINI recommends. I run 215 x 45 x 17 instead of the 205's that they come with. My intentions are to do the same thing with my new m235i as well. Not a lot, but I will be going with 245 x 40s instead of the 235 x 35's for rear. I can't believe what the reason is that BMW has taller tires in front than in the rear. Mine won't be for long.
