My road cars in order of purchase.
1969 Datsun 1000 Coupe 1983 Ford KB Laser S 1981 BMW e21 Alpina C1 2.3 1978 BMW e12 528i 1985 BMW e30 323i 1974 Porsche 911S 1977 Porsche 930 Turbo 1989 Holden VN Calais 5.0 1990 Toyota Celica ST 1990 BMW e30 320i 1993 BMW e36 318is Coupe 1993 Mazda MX5 1996 Volvo 850R Wagon 1997 Audi A4 1.8QT 1998 BMW e36 M3 Coupe 2001 BMW e46 330ci Coupe 2004 HSV VY2 Clubsport 5.7 2005 BMW e53 X5 3.0d 2009 BMW e82 125i Coupe 2014 BMW f25 X3 3.0d 2014 BMW f22 M235i Coupe The 930 Turbo was the most enjoyable in that it made you feel alive by just taming/surviving it. Volvo 850R was the most surprising in that not many knew what it could do. Favourite was certainly the e36 M3 (euro), great track car with some appropriate mods but also as a daily drive. lots of different Karts and race cars over the years too.

M235i is eclipsing both quite quickly.

Really liked the GTI, fun to drives and had a very playful feel/personality. Like the 228, don't like the weight, or steering feel.. Could be better. Still happy with it. Didn't like the 2009 A4, too big, heavy, etc... Had a couple of other cars really briefly, they were automatic cars, never can keep them more than a couple months, don't bond with them... All the rest were/are stick |

In some what order:
1991 Chevy Cavalier 1997 Firebird Formula 1995 Ford Explorer 1998 BMW 323IS 1993 Ford Mustang GT 1987 Chevy Monte Carlo SS 2005 Scion XB 2005 Chrysler 300C 2007 Jeep SRT8 2005 Jeep Wrangler 2008 BMW 335IX 2010 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara 2004 Subaru Forester XT 1999 Subaru Forester 2011 VW Tiguan 2012 Chevy Camaro 2SS 2016 BMW M235IX Favorites - Jeep SRT8 (AWD and it was supercharged), 1997 Firebird Formula (first taste of a performance style motor), BMW 335, and now my M235. Least favorite - Surprisingly, my least favorite is the Camaro 2SS. Visibility really ruined the experience for me on that car more so than any other car i've owned. That's 17 cars in about the same amount of years. |

2009 A4 3.2 V6 - Loved that car, but in retrospect it didn't have anything going for it besides the engine and novelty of LED running lights at the time.
2013 C300 4MATIC 3.5 V6 - Not a single negative I can list. Wish I'd have kept it, but then I wouldn't have the 2er! 2014 Mazda3 2.5 I4 - Driven by the need for a more fuel efficient vehicle at the time. Fantastic little car, save for the occasional technology hiccups. 2015 WRX 2.0 I4 - Fun for a while, but I made the mistake of choosing the CVT, which eventually grew tiresome, and the lack of performance modifications for that transmission was a bummer.

2007 Chevy Optra5 - starter car. Roll your own windows, power nothing, no ac. But it was a 5 speed and never gave me any problems.
2010 Subaru WRX limited - lots of body roll and not great mileage but damn it was fast. Laggy as hell coming off a corner at normal speeds though. 5 speed. 2013 Scion FR-S - great driver's car. Felt really connected and nimble. Not fast enough, not fun in the winter and ultimately the utility was just a little too shitty. 6 speed. 2015 Subaru WRX Sport - better than my 2010 in every way except slower. It's not as fast, that's all there is to it. More responsive though and handles better. Very little roll in corners and nicer interior. Favorite car thus far. 6 speed. Waiting on 2016 M235i xDrive auto. Hopefully it comes in before the end of the month. |

2001 Nissan Maxima SE - My first car and my only car for the past ~13 years! I was a bit sad when I donated it earlier this year. It had a NA V6 that had some pep to it, especially for a first car; I think I'm going to want to go back to a NA engine with my next car...

Also, on the 4. I find myself liking the look of the GC better than the 2 door 4's. The 4 doors end up being a bonus along with the huge storage capacity in the hatchback like configuration with the back seats folded down. I'll admit, I have the best of both worlds and lucky enough to get to drive the 4 as much as I do. If I had to pick one for my best all around needs I would go with the GC. But, man I look forward to getting in the driver's seat of my 2 every single time. Hope this helps. Chad |

1994 Honda civic 5MT (Car I learned to drive on, manual, no tach and was in KM since it was a Canadian car), used to scare my friends because they had no idea that the speedo was in KM.
1998.5 e36 M3 1988 e30 325 2000 Z3 2.3 2014 M235i Id have to say, out of the bimmers, they were all unique in their own way, so pure speed wise, I love the 235, e36 I loved for the balance and feel, and the Z3 (while slow) is such a blast to drive. The e30, well its an e30, so God's chariot needs to commentary. I still have the Z3, and don't plan on dumping it any time soon. I really like the 235, but I would probably replace it with an M2. The car I really want to get my hands on is an S54 Z3M coupe.

Me too. Would be pretty close to my perfect car I think, as long as adding the extra doors didn't make it too much bigger. I really like the size of the 2. It's surprisingly close to the size of my WRX now and the S3 that I also test drove. In my eyes, the perfect sized car. Even if they just made a new 1 series that was the 4-door version of their entry-level, compact, whatever the hell you want to call it, car. Then it would fit in with their nomenclature too. Though I'm sure as soon as everyone is used to it they'll change it again so that all the numbers are meaningless.
