F23 Parking Sensors
Hello, trying to help a friend with her f23 2 series. Front pdcs are all erroring :
8032D0 8032D8 8032E0 8032E8 “Signal line disconnection” surely not all 4 sensors are gonna be faulty at once. Wondering if it could be a module or a harness issue? Any ideas would be awesome! |

Sound like the line is disconnected, possibly chewed through by a rodent. It doesn't make sense for these sensors to all fail at once.

Just had the bumper off this evening, 12v at battery. Measuring around 10.5v at each sensor. Ground seems ok. nothing on 3rd wire. If i unplug the multiplug or individual sensors the faults dont change. Seems to indicate a canbus issue? Not sure. Not sure what reference voltage im supposed to have each one. Wiring routes to the REM apparently. Trying to find a wiring diagram.

I just lost my TPMS and the FOB was not recognized. It was traced to rodent chew on the power lead to the module that runs the antennas for the TPMS and FOB. So look in your wheel wells and other place they could have chewed especially if this was a sudden event.

Got a hold of a copy of ISTA+
Checked out wiring and after the multiplug in the front footwell, it goes straight to the REM (Rear Electrical Module) in the boot, no further breaks in harness. A174 (REM) Connector *14B 6 Supply Terminal 30 (E) 36 Sensor Ground (M) 37 Sensor Ground (M) 38 Rear Centre (E) 39 Rear Outer Right (E) 40 Front Centre Right (E) 41 Front Outer Right (E) 48 Power Supply Front (A) 49 Power Supply Rear (A) 50 Rear Outer Left (E) 51 Rear Centre Left (E) 52 Front Centre Left (E) 53 Front Outer Left (E) Sensors have 3 Pins Terminal 15 Supply Voltage Signal KI.31 Earth Connection Sensors require 9-16 Volts I’m getting 10.5 volts to the front sensors, not sure if this is low or not. Will have to check the rears and see what they get as they aren’t erroring. If the rears get 10.5v from the rem as well i guess i can rule out a power issue. Ground gives continuity to chassis ground but haven’t tested resistance. Not sure what i should be seeing on the signal wires, looking at the multiplug I have positive and negative, and 4 signal wires. More digging required. |

Never one to leave a thread without an answer, the issue was the loom in the front bumper had rubbed through the earth. Connected the cable back together and its all working fine again now.
Found it had rubbed through further along too, so caught that in time, it was starting to rub through the wire to the pedestrian sensor. |
