Do you like the manual in the M2, I've had plenty of manuals in my past and test drove a manual M240 before I bought the one I have now and didn't really like the feel of it. Have you had other manuals before this M2?

and I appreciate the info, it helps greatly....

That's a good point. I'm certainly farther away from that. Trying to get close enough where my arms aren't too straightened out. Gotta have a decent bend at the elbow.

I have not owned a manual transmission car since I had a 2007 Mazda 6 which I traded in around 2013.

The M2 manual is pretty smooth. Only trouble I have had is the 1st to 2nd gear upshift-- since I'm shifting at low RPM's during this break in period the rev-hang is making for clunky shifts. I've learned to take a little longer to shift to account for that. Then after break-in sounds like the rev-hang will be minimized when I'm able to shift at 5k RPM's or higher.

Then when I was trying to downshift into 2nd from 3rd I kept hitting the reverse gate since I was pulling too hard towards the left.

The rev matching is pretty cool which helps me since I'm not good at the heel-toe process.

Overall, not a manual transmission expert but once I figured out the 2nd gear shifting stuff I have zero complaints.

True. I learned the "watch band" technique. Adjust your seat until when your arms are completely straight out in front that the watch band area of your wrist is on the steering wheel rim. When you back off to bend your elbows to grab the wheel, that is the optimal degree of elbow bend.

got the opportunity to test drive a 2020 AMG C63S, while it was a beautiful car and sounded good, I'd have to say that it felt big.

I like the way a F22 feels like a small car with a good motor, that is not what the C63 felt like.

I also didn't like the trade-in value they offered me and they wanted just over $70,000 for the C63S so I walked away without even considering it.

Off topic, but I missed that you got an M2. Congratulations.
