461m vs 436m wheels
I love the look of the 436m wheels (have seen them in person) but in canada they come with runflats. The other option is the 461 which come with non-runflats, which im assuming are Pilot Super Sports. Plz post some pics of 461m and give this noob some advice.

The 461's IMO are way nicer looking. I spent months looking for a set for my M235 and the Canadians are lucky to have them as a factory option.
Keep in mind that not only will the 436's you get come with runflats, but they'll also most likely be the square setup (equal rim width) which means you would not be able to run the wider 245 rear tire. Since you're in Canada, at some point you'll need winter tires. I would get the 461's with the MPSS summers, and then buy another set for your winters. You can easily find 436's for sale on the forums if you want them for your winter set. The dark wheels are better in winter anyways since they'll be filthy 95% of the time.

436 wheels are garbage. Impossible to keep clean and very easy to bend. Skip for sure. Wish 461 were offered in the US.

Looks wise, I would choose the 436 every time. But as cyber mentioned, you could make the sacrifice in appearance temporarily in favor of the rubber and swap things around with a winter set down the line.

To see pics go to the BMW USA site and select the 228i M-Sport option. The basic 461 is Silver and looks quite nice. If you opt for the Track Handling Package they are Ferric Grey. I much prefer the 461s over the 436s that come on the M235.
Here in the US you can get staggered width wheels or square set up. To be honest the square set up has better handling on the track and you can rotate them to save some money. Good luck! |

Got them on my 228ix and love them. No visible brake dust issues even though it's on them until cleaning. Be careful pulling along side a curb. Easy to get curb rashed. I did it once but my dealer has a great repair guy who comes once a week.

I got the 436 wheels and was pleasantly surprised to find that they came with the Michelin PSS tires. Even though it is Xdrive they came with a staggered setup. 225 fronts and 245 rears I believe. I love the look of the wheels but as others have mentioned they get COVERED in brake dust that is very visible in no time at all.
