JB4 or ESS or Dinan

JB4 and Dinan posted their tuner kits. Wondering if anybody tried this yet?

N55 M35i spec E-tronic tuner 390 HP / 385 lb-ft tq

ESS E-tronic provides safe, simple to add power to the already potent M135i/M235i. Unlike other external controller products on the market E-tronic is a sophisticated multi channel controller that has RPM intergration. This provides for full control of boost at all RPM ranges and proper calibrations without the need to splice into any factory wiring. OEM grade hardware is used to provide high quality, safe, reliable power with excellent driveablility. Pre-set calibrations provide for a very simple installation without the need for setup or adjustments once installed. E-Tronic can be disabled or removed at anytime allowing customers to keep factory warranty.

Found nobody on this board that had it yet after the search. So what next? Call the manufacturer? Admin please move to the tuning sub forum. Sorry for posting on the General Forum.

Like the original poster, I searched the tuning forum for ESS, and not a single hit. Kerm1t, can you post a link since you have found the info?

I have the JB4 stage on my M235 and I love it. Install was easy, no fault codes, and the power is unbelievable! I ordered the Upgraded EWG circuit board, EWG harness, and the FF wires to go with the tune. I would recommend it! I think im pushing over 400 ftlb tq. I need to dyno it to get exact numbers.

From looking at some of the YouTube postings they look to gain about 10-12% increase in both HP and Torque. For the $1000 for this tuner box you could get a JB4 piggyback and some exhaust changes and make more power.

I just pulled the trigger on the ESS. I will do some before/after testing+logging and even try it with my Pure Stage Turbo upgrade (not installed yet).
