2014 vs 2015 vs 2016 m235i
Hello,
I'm in the market for a new m235i (to me at least) and I've been trying to figure out the exact differences the cars have between the years. I haven't been able to find a detailed list so far. I'm wanna know the tiniest of changes down to the last m performance badge Thanks |

I doubt there was any change between 2014 and the 2015 since the 2014 didn’t really hit the dealers until about March and it was a really short year. I don’t remember any changes until 2017 unless maybe color changes.

Very early 2014's, build dates March and earlier, use different TPMS sensors that are not compatible with later versions. Not a big deal unless you want to swap with later stuff.
There are a few minor differences with the iDrive display, but things like TPMS temp and pressure that are not in the display can be coded on with Bimmercode. In the US, only the 2014's had the front fender M badges (between front wheel and door). Early models also have a slightly different baffle under the hood at the firewall, but I'm not sure when that changed. I have a very early build (12/2013) 2014 model, originally sold in February 2014, and these are bits I've noticed. Also, if you go way back in the messages here, to the 2015/2016 range, you will find listings of other things. |
