USB port jammed up
I had an Ipod hooked up for weeks on that USB port, working really well.
Not sure how or why, but now the car doesn't recognize my IPhone or Ipod when plugged in to that port, can't get anything. Is there a way to reset or something? Oddly the Ipod seems on, and says connected to BMW still, even when unplugged. Sort of a newb with this car....

Follow up.
The IPhone continued to work properly, it had only been linked via BT.
The IPod was in a weird state of function. It was frozen, and I could not turn it off. Wasn't left with too many options, so, left it unplugged, and hoped that when the battery died, the status would be different. That did the trick. When I returned, and the Ipod was dead, plugging it in allowed the car to recognize it again. Essentially, that was a reset as you mentioned. Thanks for pitching in.
