220i versus 228i (Do You Know The Difference?)
Obviously Both N20's and tuned differently hence 228 has like 40kw on top of the 220i
But what else is the difference between them if somebody knows exactly, Always wondered! |

Standard equipment?
We don't get the 220 here but generally speaking for all BMW's in general - the only real differences are standard equipment (which varies country to country), optional equipment (higher tier options are not available on the lower end models), and the badge. That includes both options as well as things like extra cooling, brake size/type, exhaust, engine internals, etc. Your specific country configs should be able to get compared on your local BMW website to see what equipment is/isn't available.

Engine wise, they have different compression ratios.
You can see the differences in standard options in the 2 series specification guide (AUS). The first thing that stands out is the 17" wheels, halogen headlights and sensatec upholstery as standard for the 220i /220d. |
