great looking whip man, congrats

I think the general consensus here is there may be some better rims to suit the car and I have to agree, but your taste.

Enjoy!

I believe it's from the aftermarket company iND Distribution that sells the black grills for BMW's with the M colors for an additional cost.

From what I have heard, the limited slip diff for the M235i isn't available until fall 2014

All cars made by BMW AG come with runflats so since these wheels can be installed on any BMW, I guess they chose runflats to avoid uninformed customers buying an F30 335i, upgrading to these wheels and then suddenly being stranded by the side of the road because they didn't realize they no longer had runflat tires like a normal 335i.

The M235i is technically an M gmbh product and they are free to use whatever tires they want so the M235i comes with Pilot Super Sports.

That's my take on the situation, it's weird but when you understand how corporations like this make their decisions it does make a little sense. The $4,100 price also makes perfect sense. People comparing this price to the 19" upgrade on the E92 M3 are forgetting that in the M3's case, you are simply paying the difference between 18" and 19" wheels / tires whereas in this case you're getting a car with one full set of wheels and tires and also buying a second set of wheels and tires.

I like the matching diffuser but I would be pissed about the fact that they put RFTs on your wheels

Unfortunately BMW uses run flats on most of their cars except the actual M cars. The M235i is not an "M" car, so it gets fitted with run flat tires. When I had my 135i I wondered the same thing, then when I upgraded to the 1M it came equipped with the right tires. When an M2 is launched, that car will have the stickier, lighter, non run flat tires.

Great looking car!!

The M235i comes standard with 18 rims with a non run flat set of sticky tyres. When you opt for the 19 rims they fit run flats!

Great looking car!!
I think the posters are referring to the fact that you can (unless you spec it with all-season tires) order a M235i from the factory with non-RF Pilot Super Sports (unlike other non-M cars, as you point out). That being the case, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense that these upgraded wheels have RF tires (should least have an option to spec non-RF tires). Maybe these are meant for other models as well (e.g., 3/4 series), all of which are RF only from the factory.

One thing is certain looking at the way those wheels fill the arches - BMW needs to offer a 19-inch rim option from the factory!!

The 19s are an option when you purchase the car. Preferred them to the 18s. Will wait to see what HRE have to offer
