Only mods I think I may do are black grills and possible carbon fibre exhaust tips and mirrors, although I’m in no rush, getting it ceramic coated in 2 weeks, apparently will look even better then [/QUOT

Mine is a 230i xDrive - almost same specs as yours but mine is alphine white with black interior and m sport body kit.

I'm installing xpel before I drive it out. Also doing the tint and wrapping the roof in gloss black! I will take the keys tonight and sign papers but dealership is keeping it for another week to do all the work I requested.
Nice! That’s the ultimate tease, but will be worth the wait, I’m in love with my 2 series. Ceramic coating mine takes a few days so I’m not looking forward to that!

It will be for sure worth the wait. I waited 3 years to finally get this car so what's another week of waiting

Congrats on your new car. I have the exact same spec as you. Orange with oyster and black wheels. I was scared the color might look too flashy but it's a very elegant color for an orange. I was also considering changing the front kidney grills black, but the chrome somehow suits it very much. Considering adding any M perfomance parts? And why didn't you add the adaptive LED's considering you have your car pretty loaded with options?

Great taste
I wasn’t worried at all if I’m honest, I knew I would love it, in fact I think I love it more than I thought.
The adaptive headlights were an expensive option, compared with some of the lower cost options I chose, and I didn’t think I would really benifit from the adaptive.
I’m the same with the silver grills. I was adimant I wanted the black ones but I quite like the silver.
If they did the 2 series in shadowline like the 1 series I think they would suit.
Only thing I have thought about is the carbon fibre M exhaust tips, possible carbon fibre trim although I do like the brushed with pearl.

I’m trying to get my head round the headlights.
I have set the welcome home lights to stay on for 30 seconds when I get out to help me see my property when I get home but they don’t seem to be working, when I unlock the car all the lights come on. But when I pull up, stop the engine, press the stop start again to shut down dash the headlights go off as soon a shot I open the door? Am I doing something wrong?

I believe that for light after you get out, after the car is off, you pull the lever as if to flash.

It'l be in the manual somewhere but I think that's the trick.

Ah, yeah, sorted, I thought it was the welcome lights but they are when you unlock the car, I’ve turned the home lights on and you’re correct, you have to flash the beams and they stay on for the chosen time.
On another note ive just noticed a bit of condensation in the headlights at the top, I drove the car last about 2 hours ago with the headlights on and the temperature has dropped since. Is this standard? Should I be getting moisture in the headlights already?

I recently traded in my 2015 Valencia Orange 228i Xd on a 2018 Sunset Orange 230i xD. I'll be taking delivery in a couple days, but I went by and saw the car today.

Valencia left, Sunset right.

Sunset in foreground, Valencia in background.

Nice, I think sunset is the best colour on the 2 but then again I am biased those black grills on the sunset really do look nice, maybe I will get them after all!

I can't imagine not wearing jeans in my car. The oyster looks good, but since I wear raw Japanese jeans that crock for the first year or so, I'd end up with a blue driver's seat.

Silver mirror caps - and spoiler

Hi guys

Wonder what you think of painting the spoiler the same silver as the mirror caps?

I ordered a 2 in sunset orange, 460M silver/regular wheel colour, silver mirror caps, wondering how the look of the car would flow with the spoiler painted silver as well.

Great color combo. I saw one at my dealership and loved it. Good luck.

It wouldn't...but, here's what happens when you go the other way and paint the mirrors to match...

'stick, yours is still the best looking 2er on the forum. Only way it could have been better is if there were an exhaust pipe on each side. Too late, now.

Great color! Not a fan of black wheels, but the combination works well on your car!

That's almost the car I am getting in 6 weeks! Sunset Orange, Oyster interior, but I didn't want the black wheels. Can't wait!
