ASD Bypass Harness - just installed it...

SO MUCH BETTER!!!!! The best part is it still sounds just as good, but only when you're pushing.

The install was pretty simple - All you need to do is remove 2 panels. I couldn't totally remove the panel that covers the amp because I didn't have a hex driver handy to remove the tiedown, thankfully I was able to get enough access to do the job.

The only surprise is after shipping exchange and duties, it cost me $138 (Canukistan dollars). Still very worth it, but ouch (there's not that much to the thing)

I also like the harness over the coding option. I have the standard sound system which is analog and so electrically bypassing the ASD reduces some static noise as well.

I don't see the benefit of this over coding it out?!

code it is so much cheaper - I just coded it off with bimmercode - no issues.

and I do agree - the ASD is better off. Personally I found the ASD causing droning noise, after I installed my resonator delete mid pipe.

I believe there’s still some signal static with it coded out since the module is still active in the sound stream(?)

There are entire threads, both here and on the M2 forum, that address the benefits of the harness over coding. They are easy to find.

Sorry to be blunt, but by admitting that you 'don't see the benefit' is basically an admission that you haven't researched at all. Don't be lazy. Be an enthusiast.
