2 Series drivers window

Good afternoon, not my car but a friends 2 series drivers window has gone to far up and he cannot close the door. Is there any way of resetting this as dealer cannot look at it for 2 weeks car not in warranty

I think you hold the down buttton for like 10 sec and then up button for 10. Maybe you repeat a few times to learn positions
