Sounds like you've got all you need to me. But I'm looking into the bare bones set up as well personally. Maybe some M Sport brakes.

Heated seats unless you don't expect it to get below 32 degrees in Charlotte. If your buying it heated seats are a must for resale.

Adding the brakes $37575, perfect. I'm a old fart and this will be my last new car. Want it to be perfect

I like your build. Here's how we improve it:

Knock off the leather and/or negotiate from invoice, not from the sticker.

BMW has yet to make a leather I can't wear down quickly. My 2000 328i had the leatherette and it wore like iron, still looking like real leather and without being tattered well after 170,000 miles.

Yep. The self-described "old fart" owes it to himself to this at least once in his lifetime. (And, again, we'll negotiate from invoice, not from the MSRP.)

Would love to but not a option. Having a daughter and grandchildren living in perth limits my overseas travels to Australia But ain't nothing wrong with that.

I like your style lol. I just think that white on terra would be such a home run people would go wild. The leatherette is nice too for longevity as well though, so hard to say.

Or you can stop in Germany on your way to Australia, save the $$$, and still pick it up in Greenville when you get back from Australia . Win, Win.

Pass on the LSD (only driving on a race track requires this) - avg joe won't benefit from it and may actually have trouble controlling the car. Stick w leather seating. I'm considering same exterior colour (MW) and interior (Terra) on an M235i, but may go with the hexagon trim w gloss black highlight.
