M2 price in Poland: EU citizens, come treat yourself!
I was hesitant whether to rant here, or in the F22 forum - decided to put it in the M forum to make those decided to buy the M2 a pleasure, ha ha
Well - until recently, I read this forum, watched the M2 mules, the Photoshop renders, and then - the real thing. And I never - not even once - felt envious for not being in a position to buy the M2, as I only have my M235i on 3-year lease for half-a-year now, just as I never dreamed about a Porshe or Ferrari: knowing BMW Poland pricing policy, I was sure I couldn't afford it anyway - so why give a s**t? My M235i - I thought - has been all I could afford, and an excellent machine too... Than a couple of days ago, the M2 price for Poland has been announced and the configurator appeared on BMW PL site. All the calmness of my mind suddenly became a thing of the past, as it turn out that a fully loaded M2 would cost me just some 12% more than my current (also fully loaded, and with the M-P LSD added) M235i !!! I'm so angry with those guys at BMW PL; they just don't know the true value of things they deal with... Just so you understand my frustration better: the M4 is 40% more expensive than the 425i with MPPK and LSD - I based my price expectation for the M2 on this simple fact (similar is the percentage of price difference between other M models and their most close non-M counterparts). I could have used my 528xi just 1 to 1.5 years longer, lose less when selling it (relatively speaking of course - and considering the depreciation slows down after the 2 first years at which point exactly I sold it for the M235i) - and would now feel a truly accomplished man: my last BMW (I'm 61, and see no chances of being able to ever buy a next BMW) could have been a true M car !!! If only I knew last year what it would cost me... I hope this awful feeling will go away, I really do... But at the moment, I sort of dislike my M235i I loved so much only a couple days ago!

Well, I don't know the pricing for the 1M in Poland but here in Sweden the M2 followed that and the pricing is similar to what you are describing (a bargain!).
So you didn't do your homework! Shame on you. |

Well - the 1M wasn't available in Poland at all, so I couldn't do any extrapolation. But shame on me, nevertheless - the M2 price really is a bargain, compared to that of M235i. And this is what bugs me so much

Keep in mind that there is no limitation however produced during limited time. What I presume is that 2016 year model within short is sold out for the Scandinavian market , since there is known allocation number. |

Yep, at current exchange rates the M2 is a real bargain in Sweden, significantly cheaper than the UK where it's difficult to get a discounted new model ///M.
My current Range Rover was 200,000SEK (ex-moms) cheaper from the UK - go figure.

You are in better position than say, buying an X1. I read in an article last summer those things were selling at a 30 percent discount. I couldn't imagine buying one of those at full price and realizing later could have saved like a few paychecks.
What appeared to be an airfield of brand new cars was a sight to be seen. Here in Canada, a while back, the dealers had to adjust pricing because of the exchange rates. Year after year, customers apparently were getting fleeced. Unsuspecting customers could have saved a boatload of money if the timing was better. So don't feel too bad, the M235i is still a pretty nice ride. |

Well, OP, I don't know what exactly you mean by "fully loaded M2" because except for the DCT there are only a few options available so far.
In France, the M2 appeared only recently in configurator and as far as basic prices are concerned, the M235i starts at Euro 48,000 (~ USD 51,000) while the M2 starts at Euro 61,750 (~ USD 65,900) it's about 30% more ! |

This is exactly what I was expecting to be the difference in Poland, too - and that's why I'm so frustrated the M2 could have been within my reach...
