Been following a couple of these threads...

- Ordered Mid-May
- Production Number May 21
- No Production Date
- Stopped in three days ago and the order has been dropped from BMW's system sometime between the 11th and 16th as I saw a report with the car in "order status" that was dated June 11th and both the ordering manager and my CA showed me the computer so I can be another set of eyes looking for my car.

Moral of the story - I'd go check with your dealer to make sure your order has not been dropped. My option was to order a 2017 but instead I found a CPO 500mi away that matched my specs and scooped that up yesterday (Blk/Blk, 6MT, Vert, RWD, Tech, etc). Consider myself lucky to have snagged that since BMW only allocated 6 very 240's to the east coast at the moment.

Anyways, if you don't have a production date on your 2016 I highly suggest you pay your dealer a visit - mine had no clue BMW dropped it until I was sitting there. And it wasn't for the CA's lack of trying to get answers.

Did you get any updates lately? I've been following mine a lot and I did end up getting a production number/VIN so I was able to continue tracking the build. Thankfully I contacted BMW Canada to follow up and they did advise it did go through production & also now it's completed. If BMW had dropped the order I guess it means you're forced to the 2017 build? Did you have to re-order from scratch or will they honor the prices you signed for?

The irony of the above is I ordered on the 7th of March and was bounced to 2017 model.

Time to get to build for Right Hand Drive is much longer too.

The new model is less of an issue as I plan to leave my car OEM, my dealer will honour the original deal including 5 years free servicing and well... MOAR POWA as standard and it's a M240i so it must be 5 better than a M235i

My Dealer's system has been updated with the M240i so I now have my chit through to match the order in the BMW systems.

For info, in the UK "enhanced bluetooth" has been replaced with "enhanced bluetooth with Wireless Charging and Wi-Fi Hotspot". Hopefully this means Carplay is just a firmware upgrade...

Just some info on this - as far as I was informed the factory where the Navigation is built has been damaged by some natural disaster, that is where the delay comes from.

no production date or VIN yet for me. I am asking my dealer.

some scary stories here with folks getting their cars canceled...I hope Canadian orders are fine

I'm in a similar situation but haven't placed an order yet. Went into my local dealer yesterday and when I asked them about CarPlay the reply was "what is that!" He showed me the options to order on the PC and indeed it wasn't there. Another thread here is stating August as when this will be a configurable option...but is that also for UK? Hard finding any facts on this tbh

The Canadian pricing guide will list CarPlay and the SOP on it. Run a search and you'll find the PDF somewhere & review for yourself.

Thanks for the info, yup can confirm I see it in the Canadian specs but it seems that here in England nobody can confirm it is actually coming. Best I got from BMW today was that if I were to order enhanced Bluetooth and wifi hotspot..then if it does come to England the car can be retro fitted with CarPlay.

Why do they make things so difficult!

I suppose because it's not "officially" available yet.

I can't see why Carplay would be excluded from the UK, when it's available on other marques here.

Thankfully I already had the enhanced bluetooth box ticked as I just work and personal phones so the ability to connect 2 at the same time is really handy.
