I must say, my car was always a blast to drive but it's been even sweeter since getting this news. Fuel economy is out the window, but I've been grinning ear to ear...
Did you order an identical M235i to the one you have now or did you go for a few upgrades?

Garage List
My F23 made it here literally right after this issue settled so it was only at the port for about a day before heading to the dealer in April.

I recently made the switch to a 2016 328i xDrive but damn, I really wish my car was part of this recall so I can have some negotiation power.

Finally getting my (new) car back next Wednesday! It's at the dealer now they're just installing all the add-ons I had previously installed (new parts obviously). Can't wait to get the vehicle back!

Excellent. Looks like all of us past 228i owners upgraded to m235i after this convenient recall.

Yup. I loved my '15 228i Msport xDrive Cabrio, but I must admit that the replacement '16 m235xi is beginning to grow on me..

The only negative thing I noticed after the 228i -> M235i swap is that the fuel consumption has gone up almost 25%.

My 228i could drive about 500 km per tank. M235i can barely do 400km.

Exactly. I drive roughly 450kms/week and have to fill-up Thurs...can't make the whole the week. That said when I added my dinan stage 1, my fuel consumption dropped by about a 1 litre/100km.

Are you guys short shifting or revving it out into the higher RPMS? Just curious the 100kms is a pretty big difference.
