4/11/16 Update: New best is 3.56s on pump gas, see post on next page

1/4/16 Update: New best is 3.60s on pump gas, see post on next page

I just wanted to share my latest record 0-60 time: 3.80 seconds!

This was on pump gas with all season tires. My previous record with the Enzo tune was 3.87, best with the Manhart tune was 4.1, Racechip best was 4.2, and 4.35 with the Dinan stage 1. All testing was done on the same stretch of level road to minimize any variables. I seem to get best results by torque braking with traction control completely disabled.

I know 0-60 times aren't that relevant or significant compared to 1/4 mile times but since I live far from the track this was just a more convenient way of monitoring the cars performance on a regular basis. Plus I definitely get a kick out of it, no pun intended. Max gforce at launch is 1.24Gs.

Edit: in case you're wondering, the vmax in the picture is obviously wrong. For some reason after I got my flash updated the value changed from 142 to 254mph, I just haven't reset it yet. Also the 0-120 time is inaccurate, haven't had a chance to do proper 0-120 runs.

Insane time!
Quick question, what mods do you have? Sorry I just picked up my M235i and don't know what most of your signature is.

- Ecu tune by Enzo Performance
- High-flow catted downpipe by AR Design
- Intercooler by ATM
- Charge pipes by Evolution Racewerks
- Tuningwerk exhaust
- KN drop-in air filter

The car is xdrive which certainly helps, plus I reduced tire pressure a bit for better traction.

I feel the stock turbo is pretty much maxed out at this point, so I just purchased the pure stage 2 and am looking forward to getting it installed!

Congrats on the car and happy modding

How much boost does the Enzo flash tune have you targeting?

Peak boost is around 21 psi, at least that's what the gauge says.

Best I got was 4.3/4.4... but I have a RWD 6spd so it's a bit harder to launch. I'll tell you what though, brake boosting in the 8AT/AWD cars... they take off like a freaking rocket.

The vmax value in the picture records the fastest the car has ever been. Before updating the flash runs, my record was 142mph, after it somehow read this 254 value, obviously wrong. I can reset it but haven't because I didn't want to erase the 0-60 times. If you were thinking velocity limiter, the flash tune removes that.

That can't be right. I also have the ENZO tune and it shouldn't be hitting no where near 21 psi. They told me it should be around 13-15psi.

Honestly I'm just going by what the digital gauge says, that's the best I can do.

Enzo tweaked my tune a bit, since the car is fbo he felt we could squeeze a bit more out of it. By the way, with his latest update the ECUs are now flashable via obd, so it's no longer necessary to remove the ecu.

Sure, sounds good! Although since the gauge gets its readings from the same source as your obdlink I don't see how the values would be different.

Oh you're right then. But from what I know 8-10psi is peak torque on stock and 14 (JB4 map2 guys) and dd1981 mentioned he's seen 15psi on his car (which sounds about right).

I generally see 15 psi but it tapers off. I have seen as high as 15.4 psi.

What does the latest update entail? Is it for all cars EWG and PWG? Howe does he update, remotely or its a file you download and do it yourself?

I dont know what I am going to do, Im also thinking Pure stage 2 but I dont know how Im going to get it tuned, shipping my car to NY is not an option.

I'm in the same boat. I live in Canada and there's no way I'm shipping my car or my ECU to NY. I just emailed Chris at Enzo to get more details on the ODB option.

I'm already Enzo tuned. I shipped my ECU to them a couple months ago. I know in order to OBD tune, they still have to crack and unlock your ECU and only then can they OBD tune.

I was more curious about the new updates. And if it may be possible to tune remotely with a turbo upgrade, bull I'll have to contact Enzo.

As far as I know the update just increased the power a bit, nothing dramatic. Haven't heard anything about remote flashing but I know they will be tuning a 435 with pure stage 2 in the following weeks. Looking forward to see the results, I'm really hoping I don't need a jb4 for the turbo.
