A comparably equipped 228i and M235i are only about $3k apart. Take the 228i and start adding on the options that are standard on the M235. Lighting pkg, moonroof, m-sport,Track Handling Pkg, etc. That is $7000 right there. 2016 now includes Premium Pkg so another $2k.

My 2915 M-Sport had a MSRP of $47,500. The M235 with same options was about $50,500.

So if you want a stripped 228i, then yes $10k plus, but most buyers check the option box.

Pretty much. Who buys a stripped out 228 though? Not many people.
