Orbit Grey Staggered Wheel Set

I ordered my M235 back in late October, with the orbit grey all-season wheel and tire set, due to the fact that it would be winter by the time the car arrived. I ordered an extra set of the summer staggered wheels and tires, also in orbit grey. The extra wheel/tire set came in before my car arrived and looked rather light in color. The dealership tried to tell me that it was orbit grey. So I paid for them and took them home.

Once my car arrived, it was very obvious that the "orbit grey" set they had sold me were, in fact, not orbit grey. The factory orbit grey wheels on the my car were much much darker. I then went round and round with the dealership for a couple of weeks. Finally, they told me that they could not order the wider 18x8" wheel in orbit grey, that you could only get it from the factory. They said they spoke with BMW NA and confirmed that it was not available to order.

They offered to take them to get powdercoated for me and they would cover transporting them and remounting and balancing the tires. I have looked all over the internet for a part number for the 18x8" orbit grey 436 wheel, but cannot find it. Is this because they are a new option? What if, God forbid, I got into an accident or damaged the rim on a curb, would I be SOL?

If anyone can help to confirm or disprove what they told me, I'd really appreciate it. They are finished being powdercoated, but I haven't picked them up yet. If they're lying, I'm going to demand that they either pay for the powdercoating, or give me a full refund for the set.

Ferric gray and Orbit gray both have two stamps on the back of them rim - "Orbit gray" and "Ferric gray". It's very confusing, your dealer probably doesn't even realize it.

Are the part numbers different?

Here's one of the wheels from my Orbit grey set that came in. As you can see, it has both Ferric grey and Orbit grey stamped on the back.

Same deal with my Ferric grey set. They have both stamped on the back.

I don't know if the part numbers are different. I ordered the Ferric grey using part number that someone provided (I only bought one Ferric grey rim to replace a damaged one) but with the orbits I bought a full set of dealer take offs, complete with tires, TPMS, etc.

So the Orbit Grey set came off of a factory vehicle. That explains it.
