M235 Prepaid Maintenance Plan?

I'm considering buying a used 2016 M235 (2K miles). As you all know - as the 2nd owner - I will lose the 4 yr maintenance the new car came with.

I understand I can buy the equivalent 3/4 year prepaid maintenance from a dealer. My Q is:

1. Anyone know how much this is?
2. Is it worth it? Dealer mentioned that it will be $1K/axle to change brakes when the time comes. Ouch!

$1k an axle to change brakes....lol. You will not need rotors at your first brake job. They may need to be turned, but not necessarily. Find a good BMW Indy mechanic and you can get new pads at all four corners and rotors turned if needed for $400-500, all in. Screw the dealership and their scare tactics.

Agreed. I'm about to purchase a new M240i and do not plan on getting any extended maintenance. I know a good local shop that will take care of that stuff for much less than the dealer charges.

Also there is always the uncertainty of how long I will truly own the car. I may keep it for years then again after 3/36 I might be on to something else.

You only need to buy it before the original expires. Foolish to do now anyway.
