Convertible Top Problem?
This afternoon I went to put the top down. The windows were up. I pressed the switch and the windows rolled down. I held it, and after a few seconds realized the top was not moving. I could hear a whirring sound, but it sounded like an unloaded motor. I released the switch and tried again, and it worked fine.
This is the second time this has happened this week. Has anyone seem similar? (For the record, while I have hopes of installing a smarttop module soon, it's currently unmodified.) |

Can't say I've had any issues with the top. If it continues and is reproducible you can bring the car in to be looked at.
Normally the car makes noise for a few seconds as the latches are retracting, are you sure this wasn't what you experienced?

it's a different noise, and I can see the top shift when the latches retract. It's almost like the car thinks one of the windows is still up, and keeps running a window motor.
