The claimed 0-60 is 5.7... So 6 seconds is to be expected. Not sure why OP would think it would be low 5s

What I said was "...I was hoping for a sub 6 second ride..." Someone else commented about getting into the Mid-low 5's with better tires and a tune. |

GSR tune will put you in the 5s I have little doubt. Guessing RaceChip, Enzo, etc will as well. Good tunes make a world of difference. My 'play car' had 260hp stock and couldn't fry the tires if it's life depended on it. Post tune, it was a matter of how much rubber I wanted to waste and smoke to create ..even on steamroller 285/40s....

The only time accelerating from a standstill without launching is on cars with so much torque that brake-torquing would simply smoke the tires.

That's not even close to enough time to let the engine warm up. The golden rule is to always keep it under 3-3.5k until the oil is warmed up. I know that's hard to do without an oil temp gauge, but still.

With temps in the 90's and stop and go traffic, I'm sure the engine is up to temp, but I know what you are saying. I know it's more than 1 mile from my house, but I was making a point that I don't drive 6 miles prior to launching...
