I'll wait for confirmation that my order is cancelled. I'll just use the money to upgrade my speakers instead. My car already looks great anyway, but they could at least honor the cheaper items like the grills and floor mats! Lol

Hey guys so I have an update.. Just got off the phone with them and just politely was asking about the orders. I particularly asked if the discount was intended for M-Performance parts and was told they were not supposed to be discounted. However he said they did receive 1,000+ orders and are trying to work with BMWNA to help rectify the situation and allow the orders on M-Performance parts to be honored and keep their customers happy. They said they will be contacting all their customers who ordered M-Performance parts even if your order was cancelled. They asked if we could please be patient and they will do their best to make the situation better.

That's understandable as this doesn't just look bad for the dealer but also BMW as a company because these parts are still available even if they need to be ordered. It would be smart for them to just write off the loss and benefit from the positive pr rather then the negative shitstorm that will most likely ensue if they cancel everything.

Thank you for going through this effort and being rational about it. We appreciate your reporting this back to us as well.

We all know that this blew up on them and we are all willing to be patient on this situation (although I know it is not usually in our nature).

The issue I had was that I called and confirmed before ordering, as I had another Black Friday offer for 35% off on the LSD and I went with this one instead. Now that deal is gone and I'm stuck if they cancel my order(s). Looks like they are trying to make it right in good faith and I for one will be patient.

The very nice Parts person I spoke with said my CF rear spoiler was a valid sale item and would be coming once they could get unburied and get their computer systems functioning again.

I just realized.. since this all originated from Boneman's unrelated diffuser post, it would be horrible if his order ends up getting cancelled as well!

I just went ahead and cancelled the kidney grills and CF spoiler order since I really didn't want to wait a couple weeks for them. The whole point of buying stuff was because it was cheap and it would help me ease my euro re-delivery angst. I was super nice about it and John said he would bump my order for the all-weather floor mats to the top if I wanted to keep that order. I said sure and he said I should get those by next week.

I find it very odd that we are all getting different answers. Such as, "only applies to lifestyle accessories" or "not applicable to wheel and tire sets" (which I know the code worked for). My message says, "We apologize but item(s) you have ordered are not available." This was in regards to my m-performance difuser. I have received SHIPPING CONFIRMATION, regarding the tail pipe extension kit I ordered, b/c I couldn't spring for the MPE. Although I hope BMWNA will ultimately step in and at least try to make things right, I think those of us that took the biggest advantage of the sale are going to have the toughest time. In my opinion if they have the balls to hold my money for the extension kit and sent it without an obviously key part of my order, they are really in a bad spot. Unfortunately I think they will fight for the big ticket items like LSD , Wheels, and larger orders because they need to cover themselves.
It is amazing that it is nearly 2015, and they didn't bother to cap the sale or require telephone ordering, it is almost funny there are literally hundreds of ways this could have been avoided. No one was expecting 50% off, but they offered, thanks again boneman. BMWNA is going to have to step in to clean up this mess and with 1000+ orders its a big mess.

I care less about the exact discounted price, and more about not knowing for sure if my canceled order will actually remain canceled, or if they'll do something about it later. So now I'm stuck in limbo between giving up and going elsewhere to buy what I actually need for my car (i.e. winter wheels and tires).

Yep. That's why I just pre-emptively cancelled. I'm sure like most here, I made these purchases on impulse due to the low sale price. So the reality is I don't need these enough to warrant the hassle. For those with more patience or a deep desire to fight for what you feel is morally justified, best of luck to you. I have more important things to do... like read about your grievances. :P

I'm also confused by the inconsistency of all this. The charges are pending on my card and I have not received any emails telling me that my orders have been canceled. I did get confirmations on both of them. It just seems odd that some people have gotten emails saying their orders were canceled, others have been told that everything is fine and just be patient and still others, like me, haven't been told anything.

Got confirmation tonight of my second of three orders being accepted and in process. Now, for the decklid spoiler, but that's the one the gentleman on the phone said should be fine after a short wait for them to get back to normal functioning.

BMWNA is definitely going to have to step in. If these guys can't fulfill orders, and come up with multiple bs reasons/can't even keep to one story they are definitely in trouble. I think this was a sale they intended to be local and therefor low volume that got out of hand. BMW should step in and allow each person ONE of every item they ordered. This stops people from taking advantage of this discount while being fair to the people who purchased.

You guys are crazy. Seriously. Raise hell and let the dealership lose money and cause some poor fool to lose his job right before the holidays over this. Just for some bs non-essential accessory for your car cause you deserve it. It's sad that crap like this means so much to you guys.

Agreed. I'm sure most of you guys knew this was an error/mistake. Happens all the time to a lot of retailers. They just cancel the orders and might give you a $5 gift card for the inconvenience.

Otoh, it would've been awesome if this was real for everyone. Deal of the year or two or three.
