How does the car feel after the upgrades? Did you install both or just the front?

Both, only had it on road briefly but its more planted & more responsive to steering inputs. Wont get it back on track for another month or so.

Car Control Clinic

I took her to a BMWCCA Car Control Clinic and flogged her as I hunted (or avoided) cones. It was a beautiful day out on the tarmac!

Wow man good for you

What skill did you learn from it?

Where exactly was the car control clinic at?

I've always been afraid to do that I figured I would mess up my tires

On the car control clinic you can’t mess up your tires on the Pacific Raceway clinic. It is held in a large parking lot. The most you can do is hit a cone.

You should really go to one.

Look up Chris Hill when you are in Thermal. He is a great driver and instructor, and worked with me at Summit yesterday.

Got my new wheels installed at EAS!
Apex VS5-RS in 18x9.5 and 18.10.5, wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sports. (Correction, these are the pilot sport 4S, my prior tire was the super sport)

Thrilled with the stance and the ride on the 18's thanks to the extra sidewall.

What skill did you learn from it?
We learned about weight transfer to put the weight over the tires that need the grip. We learned about just how quickly our cars can stop when stomping on the brakes from ~45 mph. And we learned how to drive the car right at the tires' limit. Fun day!

It was at an old NASA test facility in the CA Central Valley; essentially an abandoned airstrip outside Crows Landing, CA:

Yeah, I get it! The instructors had us inflate our tires up to 38 PSI before arriving. This was both to help the cars be a little more liable to lose grip — so we could learn what to do at the edge of grip — and to help alleviate wear on the tire shoulders. In all, not too much wear to worry about. Not like a full on track day (so I understand)!

Thanks for the triple reply

It's definitely on my priority list for 2023

That looks so awesome bro! What are your tire sizes and suspension? Also what offsets are the wheels?

Thanks in advance.

Suspension:
*Msport coilovers

Wheels:
*Apex VS-5RS F 18x9.5 et28
R 18x10.5 et40
Tires:
*Michelin PS4S 265/35/18
285/35/18

I don't have any camber plates etc., so this is a pretty easy setup to replicate.
