No, makes some sense if you're in Ohio to not have to get out of NYC and get around Philly. Mine's showing NYCPOA, which agrees with the Bayonne destination I got from the CS rep when I called to make sure my PCD had been (unfortunately) cancelled.

Looks like they'll be chugging along pretty close to each other until they get to the POE, then onto different boats. There's a couple this week that could get you in quickly, but you never know what the line at the port will be like.

You are right. Some have been stuck at the port for a few weeks. I doubt I make Salome, April 17, maybe Tulane on the 22nd. Hopefully, no later than April 28 (Endurance).

I have a 2016 X3 coming in from Spartanburg with production date last week of April. Let's see which one arrives first.

I called the 800 number late yesterday and they said the car would clear the VPC this afternoon and projected it would arrive at my dealer (BMW of Cleveland in Solon) on the 20th... The 800 recording and the Track My BMW website have been woefully behind. The 800 still said it was awaiting a ship when it was 2 days out of Baltimore...

We ordered...drum roll....January 30th... The dealership didn't have an allocation they say.... This is our first BMW so we have no historical reference...

8 weeks would be a good average for East Coast delivery counting when production starts.

Mine just hit port of Brunswick in Georgia yesterday! Awaiting my M performance LSD installed there but hoping it won't take long to hit my dealership in TX, I ordered (car went into production) on March 10th btw.

Spoke to a Genius, a nice person at the 800#, and my CA today... All confirm it should be at the dealership this afternoon... Our CA has the M Perf Exhaust all scheduled to go on pronto with...hopefully...pickup tomorrow afternoon...

Fingers crossed as tomorrow afternoon will be the nicest (warmest and dry) day until next week in the Cleveland area...

Well... It didn't arrive yesterday and as of noon today, no one has been able to tell me where the car is - just that it was released for transport at the VPC in Baltimore on 4/18 and was scheduled to arrive at the dealer yesterday...

I can get a good up to date track on my $10 do-dad I purchased on eBay but no one seems to know where a $60k car is...seriously?

Didn't get delivered to the dealer on the 21st...we took a drive after hours to the dealer just to see if it was in the parking lots...nada...

4/22 - Email and phone call to voicemail for our CA. The wife eventually called the main dealership number later in the afternoon to see if the car came in. She talked to the Sales Manager and found out that our CA was off for the day...and...that our car still had not arrived. Said he would research and call her back by COB...oops!...he didn't...

4/23 - 9AM phone call to the wife from our CA...wife says the update has the car in North Carolina????? Why 11 hours to NC only to spend 10 more hours driving to get to Cleveland??? Was the car going to SC for a Performance Center deliver as originally planned but seemed to be botched during build??? She dialed the CA back and handed the phone to me...spoke with our CA and now confirms the car is in Baltimore..still..even though release for transport on the 18th... Says they will check further and let us know...

We know it will eventually get here but BMW seems to suck you in and hype you up with the whole tracking process...creating obsessive compulsive monsters... Since the shipping/VPC is contracted out and the trucking is contracted out as well, there seems to be a black hole in the 3rd party handoff process that could use a little more effort to iron out. Seems like the chain of custody would be a little more regimented.

Still, PMTG is an exclusive transport provider for the NE and Midwest and I know the GPS track their fleet 24/7. With the contract provisions, it seems BMWUSA would have a Batphone to PMTG for status updates. It's 11AM and the wife and I still have time to grab the EZ-Pass, drive to Baltimore, get the car, drive back, and have the car in our driveway by midnight tonight.....

And WW says I'm on the Independence 2 !

Showed up on the WW tracking site sometime this morning, one day after the ship left port. Doesn't say it's been loaded yet, and says they received it today, but it looks like there's a paperwork lag of a day or so. This matches with other cars that seem to have a lag in getting reported, "loading" onto the ship a couple of days after it leaves port. It shows that BMW booked the transport back in March, so they clearly aren't doing data entry into the online system until they have it and are moving it.

BMW's automated line and the "Track My BMW" web page still think it's at the port with no information. The live customer representative's information updated since this morning, with their having no information first thing today, but having the updated information after it showed up on the WW site (her info says it's shipping tomorrow "but since the ship left yesterday, it's on its way").

Targeted to be in New York (actually, Bayonne) on 5/6 (it's in the southern North Sea at the moment, heading to Zeebrugge), figure a week to 10 days after it hits NJ to get to my dealer et al, so mid-May is looking good.
