Kids and European Delivery

I are doing a ED for fall 2015 (m235) or spring 2016 (m2) and we are trying to decide if we want to take 2 kids (10&11) along for the ride.

I have not really seen any ED photos with more than 2 people present. For those who have been there, what do you think?

Did it with my wife and daughter in 2009. No problems at all.

PCD is limited to 2 people, but not ED. Nobody blinked an eye when our teenage daughter was with us.

Search threads over on Bimmerfest which has its own ED subsection (non model specific). Plenty of threads regarding travelling with kids over there.

Looks like you had a great time! Thanks for the info.

Yep. I don't venture too far out of 2-forum.

It was a blast. If both our kids weren't living in different parts of the US now (so that my wife wants to vacation where they live), we'd be doing it again this month.

If you do it, think about spending a night or two in Hohenschwangau. You can get a nice suite at the Hotel Mueller with a view of either of the two castles in town for a very reasonable price. It's a kick for the kids, it's romantic for your wife, and their restaurant is unbelievable.

The only problem I had was watching the hailstorm come in across the valley towards my 10 hour old car.

We picked up our M235i last July with our 6-year old son. We had a blast! 5 weeks, 2,800 miles and never a dull moment!

I did it with my kids who were 13 and 9 at the time. If you search the bmw cca la chapter newsletter from 2012 you can read their write-up on their experience. It was so much fun for them!
