Dash-Cam installation in 2ers.
Has anyone installed a dash cam in his/her coupe or cabrio?
I plan to but need to know if there any issues I should watch out for. I'm thinking I need to go with a small and relatively inconspicuous model.

I use Balckvue 650 2 channel. Super easy to install.

Lukas LK-7200 on the front, Mobius Wide Angle ActionCam in the rear. Same setup I had in my 335. The camera is certainly visible from outside the front, but there's only so small they can go.
Pics of the 335 install (I used the same configuration in the M235) here: http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...4&postcount=51 And a video from my M235 showing why I use both front and rear here:

I meant to post this link from another member. I credit Lazee1 with helping me track down the right fuse to connect my fuse-tap to. Good info here:

By the way, Lazee1's connectivity guide should apply to any dash-cam you decide to pick-up really, not just the Blackvue.

Here's a pic of mine. can't really see it too well but it's next to the mirror. Don't think they make this model anymore, but think it's the mini 805. Works great and has a good wide angle

The softop makes a 2 channel with rear view camera setup problematic so I'm just going with the front..

They make mini 806 now. It's even better than the 805. |
