This is a bit of a digression, but it's about liking a station wagon...just about to return from U.K. where one of two rental cars was a right hand drive, diesel, manual transmission, VW Passat wagon. Great car! Not the same Passat we get in the US. That little diesel just pulls and pulls! Nothing reliable on the emissions being put out, of course, being a VW.
The other was a BMW 116i, petrol, but also rhd and stick, but that's another thread! |

Just wanted to post a quick update. Liked the 2016 328 xDrive Sport Wagon when we took delivery. Coming from the Allroad dad thought it was a big step up, but thought it a bit under powered compared to the Macan. This past weekend for a birthday present I got him the Dinan Stage 1 tune. Liked the car before, love it now. Made a HUGE difference and the car is a lot more fun to drive. We also swapped the RFT for DWS 06 and that was a big improvement as well. Thanks for the help guys, hopefully this one will keep him happy for a while as it's a gorgeous car (BSM w/ Saddle) and now performs very well. If this doesn't work I am looking at $75K for an Audi S5 Sport Back, but I don't see any need to go that route.
Guys at Thompson BMW were great for the tune, would highly recommend them. |
