My new 2016 M235ix Alpine White slowly but surely build thread.
Hey everyone! I joined this site back in 2014 when I first saw the new M235i and wanted the car right away. Had to make things happen financially to make it happen. Two years later that day finally came!
I Picked up my new 2016 Alpine White M235ix on 03/22/2016. Luckily it was only a week out so was a relatively a short wait and thought I'd start a thread to introduce her and myself and to start a build thread. I have a lot planned as far as mods go and will take time to get there. So far I've tinted the windows. ( 17% around back and 43% front ) Picked up some M Pedals ( not installed yet ) Came with the black kidney grilles and also a clear-bra was added on the entire hood, fenders, bumper and mirrors. Yesterday I added the gloss black M235i badge. Ordered from Ryan@IND - Looks a lot better than stock on a white car imo. A few pics of her so far and with additional mods will add more down the road. Love this forum and the useful info found in all sections of the forums. delivery after tint Last edited by M235iguy; 04-30-2016 at 10:29 PM.. |

Thanks! I did drive by around that time. Most likely me. Working on getting to 1200 miles. Were you getting an oil change or something? How do you like the M Performance Exhaust? If you're around the area sometime, I'd like to hear it in person as I'm strongly considering one. Just want to see how it sounds.

Our cars are nice and fast but they are no "Panty Dropper".
Its exterior is a bit too short to be considered elegant and interior a bit too plain. |

Best I could come up with on custom plates, Considered 4point0 or 4point2 but seemed more eye catching for the law. Most people probably wont even recognize what it means. I happen to like the exterior quite a bit and it is an eye catcher if not a "panty dropper" Plus I needed a title to start this thread with something besides new m235i right

BIGDYCK would have also been an acceptable plate.
Congrats on the new car - start modding but be careful as it becomes addictive. Alpine is definitely the best color but I may be biased. The black emblem looks good but I can justify the price for it lol |

Thanks! I've already caught the mod bug and their is a lot of things I want to do. I considered plasti-dip for the badging. It is a bit pricey, but overall I like the way it turned out. Looking at possibly a dinmann cf diffuser next. Hope you find those Dinan springs you're looking for. |

30 minutes after the last application, start peeling the excess and it will magically peel along the badge object lines. May want to use a tooth pick to help.

Sorry, but you must be very young to be comfortable driving a BMW with custom license plates as vulgar as that. It's unpleasant even as a thread title. Still, as another poster said, "whatever floats your boat".

Car looks great and mods should be as well! Congrats, good luck and enjoy!
As for the plate......"you choose the bait....you choose the fish". Hope you're into "public utilities". You'll get past this stage by college....

And since when are you even in the same neighborhood as "4point2", let alone "4point0" in a stock M235i? If you get a tune on top of all that bling you're buying, you *might* make "4point6".
