Launch Control

Finally had a opportunity to test launch control at the strip - Results - you can do better by brake launching - but you will be a lot more consistent using launch control which is great for bracket racing - difference in 1/4 mile time between brake launch and control is about 3/10ths and a few miles per hour i.e. 12.4 to 12.7 and 110 to 106 - One thing to remember both are hard on the car so for sure give it a rest for at least 15 minutes between runs and more as the air temp increases - on real hot days 25 minutes is a good number but you will still have some heat soak.

Side Note to the above - I tried to match the Wife's time with my mustang leaving street tires on Bad Plan - she kicked my butt!!!

Probably because it will allow higher rpm takeoff without launch control.

I have to agree. brake launching feels very good on this car, much better than the launch control!

The Mustang only ran a 12.8 but big trap speed of 117 - track was slick could not get any traction at all off the line even up to 3rd gear on street tires - The car on slicks has run in the high 11 - The 235 is not stock running auto 8 tune and a CAI but that is it
