My three at the moment .. sold my M3 in march and bought the CLIO RS. I have to say it is one of the most lovely cars I have ever driven. The best hot hatch so far. It is so good that i do not miss my M3 (S54 CSL engine).

2l 4-cyl, but they sound better then you think. I had one before with a Milltek exhaust and it sounded great (too much drone though).

My Golf R mk7 sounds terrific - waaay better than my M235i (both stock). Compared to it, the M235i is too quiet with a slight tendency to drone at some speeds...

Awesome - great info.

I had a 1.8T Jetta back in the day that sounded nice too - you could hear the turbo whistle far better, for example, than on any of my turbo BMWs.

Totally agree - my 235 only sounds nice at start up, in my garage.

I hope I can get close enough to the guy on the highway to hear his sometime.

Current vehicles being driven as follows:
2015 X3
2011 135i with M package and performance upgrade.
Don't do any wrenching on cars...just the enjoyment you get to drive them.
