So what's the malfunction? my understanding is that you say it does not work at all on your car......

Was the "office" box checked on your settings?
didn't have a chance to check that yet. I realized that wasn't a big deal though, most of the time I keep my phone connected via USB for charging anyways.

Sounds quality seems noticeably better via USB anyway, plus the phone is charging so it's a win-win. If everyone would just do this DIY, your lives would be that much better!

Super easy to do and it's been holding up great, no issues at all...you just pop the phone in by feel and just grab it when you go all one handed.

Maybe I should make some and sell them.

On the iPhone go to Setting -> Bluetooth -> Press on the "i" next to the car's connection "BMW XXXXX" and "synch contacts"

Ok, I do have Sync Contacts on and do not have any problems with BT audio (songs downloaded on phone, not steaming audio app - haven't tried that) cutting out.

Keep in mind, that this sound issue is only related to iPhone 5S with iOS7 on it.

My wife and I both have iPhones and are on latest revision of iOS 7. I'm on Verizon and text messages show up on my E84. She's on AT&T and they don't on her F25. I've checked all the settings already. I think it has to do with the carrier. I live in Houston.

Lost both front wheel center caps

I lost both front wheel center caps on my M235i. Just when I thought it was just on my car my son saw this one (see photo attached). Did anyone else lose both front wheel center caps?

Caps have been reported to pop off. Dealer should replace at no cost to you.

dude, it has nothing to do with florida. I have 335i that never had that problem. Why you even connecting chassis overheat with geographical location? do you have any idea about vehicle structural design?
I'm in El Paso, Tx. Its HOT in here (literally speaking). And I don't have the overheating problem you mentioned....I even have the Awron gauge and AC cools just fine.

try checking trunk temp after a long ride, is it cool over there too?. i am starting to think that there is something wrong with my particular car. my ac cools just fine, not in the trunk of course and not by the cup holder.

OMG, there's another owner locally! I'm in Las Cruces. "Only" have a 228i but I think it's hot... Everything functioning fine so far in 104 temps. Let me know if you hear of any get-togethers anywhere--drove to Cloudcroft last weekend and had a ball in the twisties.

Last week I saw a gray 228i on I-10 (el paso). So maybe a third 2 series in the area.
Vlad, I'll check truck to see how hot it gets...

even if it's connected through the USB i don't think you will receive SMS or email to the idrive unless you have Bluetooth set up

It's a brilliant idea and looks like a great execution. One problem....OtterBox...would the plug reach in to the charging port with a Defender on the phone?

You can choose how far out you poke the charging connector so I'm thinking it should work.

Thank you! Finally someone else griping about this. This is my biggest disappointment in the interior is how CHEAP they made the glove box! First of all the compartment door has a hard touch plastic cover that feels cheap and belongs in the American Jetta. Then to top it off, the entire glove box is plastic or rubber no felt like in previous BMWs.

Cool, so I might have a QC issue here.
I will bring it to my service adviser attention when I am in for the service.
Thanks

My biggest complaint, issue, what have you:
Audio controls and cruise control buttons on the wheel are on the wrong sides.
