I hope so.
I want BACK to a smaller and lighter BMW.
My 335i Msport is too big and too civilized. I feel like I'm riding in it and somewhat controlling it.
In my 135i I KNEW I was driving it, just like my E46 328i sport.

The F22 will be sportier than the F32, but that's nothing new because the E82 was sportier than the e92. Is it just the looks? The addition of an "M" badge?
The biggest issue was the SUSPENSION, SUSPENSION, oh and the suspension.
That REALLY needs to be done correctly and properly.
135i has great steering and great break feel, please don't change that.
Tune that EPS!

The 1 was popular among those of us who had/have them.

+1. Totally on the money. I talked to guys who have driven the new M235i and all of them say how of a fun car it is to drive. And many of them come from e82's. I think BMW has been listening to us. I guess soon we will know. The M235i is right around the corner.

I think you mean, "how in Germany." Check his location.

I mean, we are all looking at photos of the M235i being driven around...somebody has to drive them, right? Maybe he knows those folks?

Would definitely make this my next car, it looks like a squished down E9x. As others said, it looks like an evolution of the E92.

Everything that the M135i brings to the table, including the much improved F2x chassis vs. the E8x. The M135i has won significant critical acclaim, and so too should the M235i. And with the bonus of eschewing those polarizing headlights.

Probably no M2 until mid 2015 at the earliest. No mules have even been spotted yet.

My 335i Msport feels like a nice sized car, but my idea is to get an M2 or M235i (hopefully M2, unless they find a way to mess it up) for a track car, so I want it lighter with better handle. The 335i will be more of a practical sized DD.

You know there are about 1,243 better track cars than BMW coupes, right? Just saying, if you're talking track car, shopping at BMW is about as useful as shopping for track cleats at Target, you may find something that works, but you could have done much better.

It wouldn't be exclusively for the track, I simply mean I would want to take it to the track. I'd have to put about $2k into my 335i to take it to the track now.

I won't doubt your claim of thousands of cars better as exclusive track cars than an M2, but I'm pretty sure I'd be interested in almost none of them.

Do we have any definitive answer on when we will see official details on this car or release date? I've got the new car bug and want to see this for real before I order a new 335.

Actually, you can just take your car with no additional mods to the track....you are not racing.

I hear you. I was told that the coupe begins production November 2013 so to expect it in showrooms 1-2 months after. The car will officially debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show which is Sep 10-22.

yup. But if I remember correctly Scott said the 2er would make its internet debut in July. If that is still the case, I would expect it to be soon since the i3's debut is July 29.
