Sorry, you are correct..... I was under the impression that the drivers side radiator was indicative of "0823 Hot Climate Version".
I ran the vin decoder and I do have the 0823 Hot Climate, but no 2nd radiator.

I also do not have the "0842 Cold Climate" although I have the Cold Weather Package.

Don't post info about your F22 here!

Everyone: Please see this thread for the VIN decoder I need you to use, and other info I need, to try to figure this radiator thang out.

I have enough info for the following users: scrape1, Viffermike (me), Thescout13, and Killramos. Everyone else: please see the thread linked to above. THANKS!

Yeah, ScottSinger, please do. No huge rush: like I said in the other thread, this'll take a few days. Thanks!

So why do you guys call these Aux Radiators? I've looked at several exploded engine diagrams for the BMW 2 series. On one side is the intercooler for the turbo, on the other side seems to be a cooling unit for transmission fluid. None of the diagrams showed an "Aux Radiator."

Tbro, the term is not an official one, partially because engine diagrams do not show two extra, smaller radiators to either side of the intercooler. They only show one at most.

On the N20, the intercooler is directly below the primary coolant radiator. All F22s with M Sport bodywork (N20 and N55) have what we're calling an 'aux radiator' on the passenger side of the car and the intercooler. What some cars also have - and some don't - is a second 'aux radiator' on the driver's side of the car and the intercooler. Judging from the hoses and their routing, these radiators are not for transmission fluid; they are for coolant.

What I'm trying to determine is why some cars get the second aux radiator and some don't. So far, there isn't a solid, predictable determining factor in terms of equipment or engine type.
