Great color combo. The Estoril blue looks classic

If you fancy doing any track days, get in touch. They are pretty awesome on track.
Thanks for the invitation. I notice you are located in Bedford more than 200 miles away from Newcastle Upon Tyne. More so I do not think I have the gut for tracking yet.

A Very Happy 70 tear old

I am 70 and just purchased a new M240i convertible. It is very fast and is very comfortable as well.

I was going to get one of the 4 second Mustangs, but Ford put those off until the 19 model year. This is almost as fast and behaves like a BMW should.

I am constantly getting compliments on my Estoril 228ix Msport vert. It is a real head turner.

I know exactly how you feel. This is my mid-life crisis car too. As fun as it is on the street, you should really look into some track days. It will make you appreciate the car even more, and it's an absolute blast.

I just fitted MPE with carbon exhaust on the car. The look is probably more awesome than the improved sound

Hey Babaikram, just noticed this thread. Have chatted to you on the G30 forum.

Particularly now that you have the MPE, I would recommend doing the ASD bypass harness. I have just done mine

Congrats on the 2er. I'm 61; my wife says I never had a midlife crisis because I've never grown up...

I already have a well optioned 2017 G30 520d which the family likes so much and resisted my efforts to trade it in.

So looking for some excitement, I went for m240i after a test drive and got blown away by the performance. I bought a new one available at the dealer with some extra options:
Estoril blue
18' M double spoke style 719M alloy wheels in jet black
Cruise Control with brake function
Media Package
Park Distance Control front and rear
Seat Heating Front
Sport Automatic Transmission
Sun Protection Glass

On account of the options and despite the discount, the list price went above the dreaded £40000.00 value and therefore I am paying extra road tax on account of this. However I love the car and it has now awakened my interest in M Cars. It is so fast and so fun.

I am truly enjoying my midlife crisis

I have attached some pictures.

I have changed the grilled to the black performance type and carbon wrapped the wing mirrors and the rear spoiler. I black wrapped the grey fin on the lower front air intakes and the car is looking quite aggressive now
Congrats on the purchase! Love the color. I just purchased an m240i couple a weeks ago. I wish mine was optioned with park distance control... Coming from an X3, I now have to remember not to get the front end of the car too close to the curb when parking!

Cool, but I know you love buying stuff for your cars as much as I do, and the harness will give you an improvement in the sound of the audio system as well
