I wonder if the editors of consumer reports considered badging in their report on the 235i? Wow just think , might have been first instead of second if it was not for all those badges.

i think this is really the first time they've had side badges on the US cars.

for the F30 with the 'sport, luxury , modern" thing, you couldn't even get them here if you wanted them (i know they had it in europe, and it looks terrible..)
That being said it's pretty much on all m sport models now though. 2 series, 4 series, x5, x4,x3, X1 probably the 3 series too.
No side badges on my 228 Msport I "only" have nine. One on each wheel, one on each door kick panel, one on steering wheel, one on gearshift, one on dead pedal.

Do you not have the M on the calipers?

I have polled at least 50 people; some BMW owners and some not. In general only a handful knew anything about what an M car is. Most had absolutely no idea; a couple driving a 7 series was not even aware what the M cars are about. M owners obviously know what an M car is as well as BMW aficionados. The majority of people could care less.... Too much time has been wasted over the stupidity or not of M badges... Go have sex instead!

Exactly. Who cares. Remove them if you don't like them. Its not worth an existential crisis.

Hmmm...I disagree with our plates here.
The plates is CA are stamped out of very cheap metal. Plus they hook on things pretty easily. A good/clean frame on them helps both of these.

Okay, that's it. I'm going to replace all of the externally visible M badges on my car with this:

Or this:

Not sure why we need so many M Badges? One on the back trunk works just fine IMO. The important part is how the car performs.

True story
Oh man, I still remember that day when I saw a guy on a road driving 2007 328i with M badge that was just wrong.

My badge take

The whole issue is merely between us and other M owners, the public could care less. I did remove my side badges (too small and looked stupid imho).

Could go this route:

My current tag is E93V8, which I must change. Maybe F22I6T?
