For the M235i, I did a quick comparison of the features for AWD vs RWD. The only difference I saw was the default tire / wheel selection. Either version can be equipped with staggered / summer tires or square / all season tires with no difference in price. Otherwise it looked to me like the AWD has the same suspension as the RWD.
I actually read somewhere on the forums here that someone mentioned that this was going to be first line where an X-Drive will not interfere with the suspension setup and will be the same as an RWD...something along those lines....

On the F30, the AWD does not include the 704 Sport Suspension and ride height is not lowered 10 mm like a RWD with 704.

But BMW did start making options available on F30 AWD that as far as I know were not available with AWD 3 series cars before: an optional suspension (dynamic dampers as part of DHP), variable sport steering, and sport automatic transmission.

Reason why it's $2,200 without the M-Sport Line is because you'll then have the option of the 18 inch Sport Wheels.
Thanks, I was hoping someone would prove me wrong. The wait is certainly worth it then.

Can you get the M Performance Suspension(Non-Adaptive, lowered by another 10mm over M Adaptive Suspension) with xDrive?

Not from any of the configurations I've seen, if you find out I'd love to know.

I thought no one else was going to mention it. I was getting worried that BMW drivers we all become soft in their old age. Maybe BMW feels like the M235 is only a drivers car with RWD?

I love MT, but not for me in EDD traffic thank you..I was hoping the M235i had the DCT but all reviews say the 8 speed is a fantastic transmission.

Both of my M3's had DCT or SMGII and I loved both of em..

Anyone know if the "Enhanced bluetooth" standalone option is still included in the tech package? The price of the tech package didn't change between MY14 and MY15 so I'm confused whether they pulled this feature out or just added it as an option for non-tech packages (like heated seats and the cold weather package)...

So they removed a $500 feature and kept the cost of the tech package the same? That sucks...

There is a ton of confusion about this, which is entirely BMW's fault. At first I was pissed at the change as it essentially added $500 cost without adding any features. However, once I finally found solid info breaking down what the $500 got you, exactly, and what you got without the $500, I felt much better.

As far as I can tell, the reason they broke it out into separate options is the Enhanced BT stuff is really a niche feature, that most people, even those of us who are really into tech, do not use or want. And by being separate, we don't have to get it when we get the tech package by default--this is good because it means we don't get that stupid holder in the center console that no one ever uses and is always in the way and taking up the already sparse amount of storage space.

So, your $500 gets you that physical holder (which still needs a device-specific adapter to use), the ability to have two phones connected to BT simultaneously, an additional microphone on the passenger side, iSpeech, Mobile Office, connection to external antenna (through the adapter), and the ability to browse your music through BT on iDrive.

Tech Package WITHOUT the Enhance BT $500 option, you still GET to stream and control audio via BT, get album art via BT, use BMW Apps and Connected Drive, use BT for phone calls, and music playback with controls and library navigation via USB, and have Siri integration where a button on wheel activates Siri (when using iOS, of course). For me, it's a win/win, since I have no extra cost and I don't have to deal with that damn center console adapter plate.

My source for this is a BMK PKOD PDF I found linked to in another forum (attached here). This one doesn't specifically mention the 2015 2 series but that is because it dates from April--it *was* made to address the same 2015 MY change in other models so it's pretty certain it applies here too.

From what I'm reading, what you are getting now for that extra $500 is additional hardware. I don't think you can code in an extra microphone to achieve extra noise cancellation, assuming that's what it's for.

This is a really good find, as I wasn't aware of the enhancement to 6NH. I think I'll skip the 6NS option and use that $500 somewhere else as I'm not sure that I'll be going back to an iPhone, my Windows Phone does text dictation and speech to text relatively well for free and none of the BMWApps are applications I subscribe to anymore, now that MOG is gone.

ah ok... in the previous year without tech or enhanced BT you could only use usb for charging and you would need Y adapter for audio

You can still probably code mobile office though which is nice

No problem, glad I could help. I spent way too long trying to figure it out myself until I stumbled upon that PDF. It's really BS the way BMW lists it on the site--to call it Enhanced Bluetooth and Smartphone Integration makes it seem like you need it to use your phone with the car. And you really, really don't. I'm sure 90% of the people who get that do so because they are scared not to, not because they actually need those specific features.

Yep, I would NOT have paid the extra $500 for the enhanced BlueTooth if had known this earlier. Too late now my car was supposed to be finished today.

I posted this a while back and decided not to spend the extra $ for it.
That money will go towards new grills, painted reflectors and new mirror caps.
