Anyone else think the f2x horn is loud and offensive? It sounds like a cheap ship horn. The e46/9x had the soft honk, the f2x sound has a cheap loud honk
Maybe active sound lol

Yes, the horn is loud and offensive. That's what the horn is for.

Sorry folks...my point was to say the older bmw (e46 e9x) has a soft honk and sounds less offensive
Just saying

I prefer a loud, offensive horn. It has saved me from many possible collisions.
On the other hand, we could simply fall back to bumper stickers: "Horn broken, watch for finger"

Definitely a difference between the cheery beep beep in my 3 series and the defensive honk honk in the 2. It is definitely more aggressive. The 3 said hey I am coming, the 2 says get outta my way. It took some getting used to but I must say it matches the more aggressive stance of the 2. It's a dudes car. The 1er was a chicks car. Now all the haters will honk at me! And yes I know this breakdown - analysis is HILARIOUS.

I don't mind that it's loud when I wanna hit it. but it doesn't lend itself to a slight little beep if I want to let someone know, hey, the light is green.
