I'm sure the performance will be satisfying with whatever powerplant they go with...I just hope they can produce an inspiring "natural" sound to go with it.

Yeah...I'm sure that the car will be nice either way. But make no mistake that Munich would like to sell it to you multiple times, without stealing sales from its larger siblings. So as usual there will be incremental updates, maybe even a semi-bespoke monster power plant for next gen, coupled with a lighter chassis.
I just hope there's enough goodness for us potential early adopters to pave the way for the others. |

I would actually like a 4 cylinder over a I6. Less weight over the front and more in the spirit of the original e30 m3.
Guess it would have be turbo to be competitive. Power wise sort of like a evo 2.0T need to rev it a bit for the turbo boost to give it some personality. High reving like the F80 I6 but also make additional power at the higher revs. |
