Meth backfire = 2 cracked intake manifold
So about a month ago, i had a huge backfire after i shifted and then my car started making all types of weird noises. Ended up being a cracked chargepipe. Earlier today, same thing happend and i thought i blew the motor. Im running 25 psi stock turbos + 100% meth after 14 psi. It happend both times when i was using No Lift Shift. I also think my tuner tuned my BEF with 14° of timing. Any ideas on how to stop this from happening? Maybe stop using No lift shift?

If it is an intake backfire, then too advanced timing during the flat shift is an issue, if it is an exhaust backfire, then fuel isn’t being cut quickly enough during the flat shift. In any case the mapping is probably inadequate to meet the flat shift needs, although the meth injector may also have slow response (perhaps due to weak springing or too high pressure) or be positioned too far away from the combustion chambers.

LOL. Wtf? What car are we talking about here? Your profile shows e90... this is 2er forum. Is no-lift shifting recommended for any BMW? Please elaborate.

I have to admit, when I first read this post headline I thought it was referring to a meth lab exploding. (hey, there is some cray stuff in the off topic forums)
