Turning off car and Nav/entertainment system

I just purchased a mineral white 230i M sport package and my question is when turning off the car is it true the nav/entertainment system stays on and the only way to turn it off is to push the start stop button again with you foot not on the brake? The car and nav system don't turn off together?

That's how my M235i behaved originally. I coded it with Bimmercode so that the head unit turns off when I open the driver's door.

Personally, I like this feature. When picking up my kids, I can park, turn off the engine, and keep listening to the head unit without having to press any other buttons.

Same here. I don't think one more push of a button is difficult process, even easier if you can get used to it

It will also shut off when you get out of the car and lock the doors behind you.

My Honda shuts off the radio with the engine. Try that behavior for a while and you'll learn to appreciate the radio staying on.

Yeah, I found that a little annoying as well but thankfully its an easy thing to code. I switched it like others have said so that the radio turns off when I open the door which is how all my other vehicles work

I just coded mine back to the original form. The other day I left my wife in the car while I ran into the store, and meant to leave the music on, and it went off when I got out because I'd coded it that way.

Yes, I did leave the window cracked open and there was a little bowl of water.

But in that situation, if you open the door and then shut the engine off it will leave the radio on as if you never opened the door. I do it all the time by mistake.

Coded mine as well. It's pretty nice. I hated the double press when I first got my car.
