For those on the fence, get MPE

Recently took delivery of a 2018 m240i...really enjoying many aspects of it so far, one of my fave is the MPE.

I have never been a huge exhaust guy, never added an aftermarket exhaust to any of the 20 cars I've had. I didn't opt for the sport exhaust option for the 2 caymans I had. The only car I opted for performance exhaust on was my 2015 C7, as the stock c7 sound is quite muted. I found the caymans were loud enough stock.

When I test drove a non-mpe m240i I found the sound of the car a little muted. I watched a test drive of an 440i with MPE and I was intrigued. Ordered it on the m240i without hearing it beforehand and very pleased with it. Gives the car a nice growl and I have to admit the pops are kinda cool...

anyhou thought I would share for those who might be on the fence...I say go for the MPE, really adds to the experience

i definitely prefer the mpe to the stock. i really want the raspy sound of my 135is, and its much better pops and crackles. wish i were sure how to get it.

Garage List
I considered the MPE, Dinan, and a couple of other exhaust units for my M240i. I decided to go with the MPE and I think it sounds great. However, I just installed an ASD bypass harness, and now it sounds a little quiet again. Maybe it's time for a resonator delete....

Anyone know if the M240 MPE can be fit to the 230 x-drive?

Ok the exhaust sounds good but my favorite part of this video is the blur out for the license plate staying still as the car pulls away.

Yeah I couldn’t figure that part out on the YouTube editor lol. It was the effort that counts.
