Comparison between JB4 vs Racechip Ultimate
I've been reading threads to see the difference between the two, but has anyone tested either or both to know which is better?
I'm wondering if a JB4 with an intake is better than the RC ultimate? Does anyone know what tunes/upgrades/parts from BMS combined will get the max hp and torque? I've read RC ultimate is really good on its own but BMS stage 1 or jb4 are better with additional mods? I'm looking to spend no more than $1200 for any mods/tune for an additional 50-60 torque possibly more. Hp should go up as well |

Dave,
If you just want a robust solution for sort of stock car ie easy DIY add-ons like air filter and not much more then RCU is a good solution. If you want something that you can adapt to future mods then JB4 is the way to go. BP

Lots of threads about this.
RC ultimate and Jb stage 1 are almost identical in terms of power gains and install (JB offers the ability to increase boost if you purchase the BMS data cable , RC does not). JB4 is a stage 2 tune, it controls boost differently using the Canbus. JB4 can control boost by rpm rather than just adding the same amount of boost across the board. It has the ability to read/delete codes, datalogging and lots of other features. If you are keeping you car stock Jb stage 1 and RC ultimate are both really good options ( i like the JB because it is more flexible). If you plan on adding more mods JB4 is the only option.
