If you're fairly tall and have a sunroof delete:

Don't try hooking up with a passenger in the car, you're going to have a bad time.

Also, be careful of the windshield in that situation, (I've heard) that they crack easily from the inside :-)

Auto tilt on R mirror in reverse... is this only a feature on "Tech" or "Premium" package cars? Couldn't get it to work for me today... 14 228i manual

Move the button that controls the left vs right side mirror adjustment to the the other side and it should work

Now that you mention it, my friend had a 228i M-Sport but without tech or premium. He didn't have the tilt mirror for some reason.

Looking at older posts from the 1 series and e90's, even base cars with manual seats had that option work (2010).
Try toggle that switch to the left (drivers side control). Would be strange to "take away" this feature.

It is also a good idea to not keep anything else (including car registration) with home address info on it.

I've only tried it with the mirror switch to the Left (driver side control) and no automatic mirror tilt Passenger side in reverse ... pretty lame as it would def help with parking visibility. I'll try it switched to the R next time, but I figure I have the same issue as pz619 's friend. No doubt, still insanely in love with my car tho :P

What do you do when you get pulled over? I mean, clearly none of us would ever speed or anything because our cars are pretty slow.

Most states give you 2 registration cards, one of them does not have your address on it specifically for this reason.

Have had TWO windshields replaced so far in my 2014 M235i.

-One was a truck stone (understandable)
-The other happened when I was washing the car in my driveway. I had the wiper arms pulled out to dry the glass. I tapped the one on the passenger side down and as I did this, the wiper blade slid off the arm for some insane reason and the bare wiper arm slapped against the glass and cracked it. Couldn't believe the wiper blade came off that easy and the impact by the arm was not THAT hard. Regardless...careful around the windshield...fragile.

I have the auto tilt mirror feature in reverse but I have Premium. The mirrors will unfold when you get up to 10mph. At least mine do. sometimes I forget when I'm taking off forward and don't have to reverse.

Tech Package best sound:
I discovered that when I have Spotify streaming over Bluetooth from my Android smartphone to my HK sound system, I can plug my smartphone to the Connected Drive with a USB cable and the connection will automatically switch to USB mode which has much better sound output (the difference is obvious) while retaining the ability to control the music with the steering wheel controls. Make sure that the smartphone is setup properly with Connected Drive.

This way the phone is integrated for phone calls with Bluetooth and achieving good sound quality through USB while resting in the console charging.

They will unfold automatically once you exceed a certain speed. 15mph or so.

can anyone else witha 2er thats non-tech package, non-premium package confirm that their mirror(s) don't tilt in reverse? Or could this potentially be an issue with my vehicle

I have a 228 that has tech, but is non-premium that does not have the mirror tilt feature.

You could code your car to automatically fold and unfold the mirrors when you lock/unlock the car.

I did this and it is amazing!
