Question about stock exhaust modification

This might be a dumb question, but if you do a muffler delete to your stock exhaust and down the road you need to put it back on (leased car):

a) could you put it back on?
b.) would BMW accept it or make you buy a brand new stock exhaust?

I'm not familiar with the intricacies of exhaust systems, so I'm not sure what would need to be done in order to remove/reinstall the muffler.

1. Yes, just any exhaust clamp that fits.

2. I don't think they would know.

When you return the lease, BMW will do an inspection on the car
If they see it, you will be required to purchase a new exhaust for the car

One thing I've thought about doing (although the car isn't a lease so it doesn't really matter) is a valved muffler bypass straight pipe.

So essentially have a hole cut in the stock exhaust before the muffler, add a valve controlled flap, with another short straight pipe welded onto the hole angled off to the side, and then have a remote inside the car to drive with either a straight pipe, OR the muffler depending on the mood. Similar to this:

I doubt they will make you buy a new exhaust, in the worse case scenario you could just pay a shop to weld it back on.

Clamp should be fine. I bought a M-Performance exhaust and it's held on by a clamp that comes from BMW.

IF BMW finds out that the exhaust has been modified, they will not accept for a shop to wield once returning a leased car and will make him buy a new one

Of course there is a very good chance that they will not know it has been modified in the first place

That's my whole point. Don't know why you keep trying to argue with me.

Maybe I misunderstood your post above.
I thought u meant if BMW finds out, you doubt they will make him pay for a new exhaust.
No arguing here, just a friendly conversation.
